Chapter 28

Present.

Her whole body ached, and she couldn't even move. She tried to open her eyes, but it was too difficult. She barely succumbed in and out of consciousness. After a while, she was able to open her eyes as a groan slipped through her chapped lips.

Her mouth was dry as if someone rubbed sandpaper all over it. She blinked slowly, staring at the chandelier that was lit with soothing golden lights.

The bed beneath her was so soft and cozy, encasing her in its warmth. She lay there immobile staring at the chandelier. She was completely out of space for a couple of seconds before she tried to move her hand but couldn't.

Her brows creased and she tugged again only to feel them restrained. Her eyes broadened slightly as she looked up and stiffened, finding her wrists cuffed to the headboard.

A chill scraped her spine as she jerked up in a sitting position. A groan tore through her lips feeling severe throbbing in her head and the sudden dizziness. She sat up straight and tu

Some people seem to have felt attacked that I compared the forced mark to a rape. By the way I wasn’t saying the story shouldn’t go that way and there should be rainbows, but that he was really setting himself up for a world of pain when he’s going to wake up and realize that what he’s done!
