Scarlett's POV:

After he left, Talon came over to sit beside me. He didn't talk to me but stared at me like he was trying to communicate with me through his eyes, just the way he did with the boss...I meant Cage. But it wasn't working, because I didn't understand him.

" It's still the same,"

He softly spoke, chuckling.

" I don't understand, what is the same?"

" I tried to see if I could mind link you but I can't seem to access your mind making it impossible for me to talk to you through the mind,"

Wow! I was speechless for a moment before nodding my head in amusement. Again, these feelings of doubt about why Cage left came crawling into me. I was too eager, bothered to know where he had gone, I didn't know why because I never really cared about his whereabouts...I mean I do care but not as I do now...now I was curious to know what he was doing and where he was. The way they had looked the moment Mark came in, the way Cage's had tensed, I knew something was wrong.

" Where Is he?"
