60 He gave me a ring.

Mera.

I stared in wide-eyed amazement at the necklace in front of me, which had two rings hanging in the center. One ring was large and the other was small.

My eyes move back and forth between the rings and his face.

He grabbed my hand and placed the necklace in my hand.

"Mera, don't cry." He wipes the tears from the corners of my eyes and carefully pins the messy strands of hair behind my ear.

"Do the necklace and ring make you happy?" He asked, rubbing my face.

His hands were on my waist, pressing me tightly against him.

I preferred the ring to the necklace. But why would he give me a ring?

He picked up one of the smaller rings and then gestured me me to look at its inner circle.

There were two names written on the inside of the ring - my name "Mera" and his name "Garyson".

In the middle of the two names was the shape of a heart.

I stared at it for a few seconds, then quickly looked up at him.

"Like it? I wrote it on myself." He said.

I nodded, a faint smile on my face
