AIDEN.

Calisté's head snapped to the side as she began to cradle her hot cheek. Thankfully I hadn't slapped her harder, else she would have been gone. The guards around me looked quite worried about what I had done and I knew it was time to even show them how far I could go with anybody who thought they could cross me. I grabbed her, still reeling with anger and pushed her towards me. I stopped once our faces were a few inches away.

The silence got so loud and so tense you could hear the pulse of her heart beating so fast. It was happening the way I wanted it. She was breathing furiously while staring at me right there. The dungeon seemed to grow even colder because of the amount of tension that was present in the air. My chest heaved as I tried to appear less angry and think rationally so I wouldn't have to make any rash decisions.

But the heavens knew damn well that I would slap her again, this time harder, if she tried anything stupid again. Thankfully she didn't. I released her
