Chapter 139: Daddy

“It's bad. Mom doesn't like to hear a grown man say some bad words. Did you see we are only a child?” It was Atticus. His gaze landed on mine like he expected me to correct King Edward which made me think he might forget I wasn't his mother when we were in front of them.

“This young lady is one of the most respected werewolves in our community. A woman who likes her doesn't like when a man's too brutal when he speaks,” he added, flickering his eyes as if he wanted me to see how cute he was.

Because of what he had said, King Edward gave me his attention and his face turned dark. He cleared his throat before he scratched his forehead as if it was itchy.

“Ashianna, is it true you don't like a man who curses a lot? I remembered how you liked it when I was brutal with you.” he sweetly but full of mockery uttered.

My eyes widened in horror, glanced at the two children who seemed astonished at what they heard. Ashton coughed loudly as if there was a lot of phlegm that wanted to come out fro
