My Beta didn't say anything, but she didn't have any emotions in her face. It seemed King Darius was her date, and she had never told me about it. She didn't bother to give me a look, as if she knew I would understand why she decided to be with King Darius.

Perhaps she might have expected that King Death would bring his date, and she didn't want to be the one who seemed miserable in the end. I was secretly supporting her decision, even though she didn't bother to tell me everything. I wanted to laugh so hard when I saw King Death's face. It seemed sour, like he disliked what he saw.

"Oh, I never thought you two had a relationship. Felicia, are you really desperate to have another man?" King Death's date commented. Her fangs were obvious, like she wanted to attack Felicia. King Darius chuckled before he caressed my Beta's cheek.

"Are you sure you want to fight with my date? Did you know she's the beta of this pack? You know what's required to be the beta of each pack, and she passed."
