Chapter 67: Warning

Gunner's forehead creased because of what he had heard from me. He pursed his lips before he gazed at me with mockery. His aura made me think he wasn’t the normal Beta that King Edward had, he looked like an Alpha especially because of his figure. His eyes flickered before he barked a laugh, tilted his head, and waved his hand.

“Did you forget you’re only an outcast from your pack? They threw you here and didn’t do anything to get you back from their pack. Where did you get the audacity to act mighty on me?” Gunner was filled with anger and infuriated. He flashed an evil grin and I felt the tension rise between us. “Ashianna, you should know how to step on the ground again because the higher you get lifted, the more you fall.”

“Gunner, I don’t even know it’s wrong to defend myself when someone is trying to belittle and bully me. As the Beta of this pack, you must not act like an impatient and narrow-minded man. If you don’t start throwing some shade at me, perhaps I will think highly o
