Chapter 83: Marcus and Gunner

I kept staring out the window, thinking about what I would do next to ensure I would win against those bitches. I watched how some men were preparing the arena for the contest. I didn’t know how long I stood up in front of the window as I heard how the door opened fast, and Gunner came inside the room. As usual, he was in his stoic expression but seemed curious as to why I started staying in the room for so long and didn’t bother to take the initiative to train for the upcoming contest.

“Are you sure you will win the contest? Most of King Edward’s women are doing their best to have training, yet you’re here, looking outside the window as if you will enhance your skill by doing it.” Gunner sounded sarcastic, but I didn’t bother to fight him back. What I wanted to get was some peace so I would know what might happen next. I didn’t know what the first step was or how I would ever get information about their strengths and weaknesses.
