The news suddenly spread out and seeing how Sarah blushed because of what King Edward might be planning broke my heart. I might be the favored one but I wasn't the one he would marry, and be his Queen. I couldn't understand why most of the concubines were staring at me with sympathy. I hated how they looked at me as if I was miserable for not being chosen as the Lycan Queen.

I thought Sarah would diss me but she didn't do it because of how happy she was about the announcement. Lady Maureen seemed bitter, and she continued glaring at Sarah with jealousy.

Sarah cleared her throat before she gave me the dress she wanted me to wear. She was smiling innocently at me and I hoped I could wipe her smirk at me.

“Ashianna, I know we aren't fine since we are enemies in this pack. But since you helped me the moment you found out I'm about to pass out because of starvation, I will share some secrets with you.” Sarah sounded sweet, and I was stunned when she touched her belly, making me baffled.
