Elizabeth opened the Carriage and stepped out of the car after grabbing her baggage swinging it on her shoulder.
"We're here." The tanned skin Coachman said, leaning against his wooden Carriage..Elizabeth glanced at him then stared at the massive construction in front of her. "Are you sure?" Elizabeth asked. The man nodded. "Champagne district's Investigative Office right?" Elizabeth nodded at the question. "We're here." The Coachman confirmed looking to the side.Elizabeth craned her neck at the building in front of her. Beautiful was the first thought that crossed Elizabeth's mind as she stared at the majestic building in wonderment. The gates of the Investigative Office were toned gold tall bars. Elizabeth wondered if they were truly made of gold or just colored gold? The bars had thin separation from each other, tall enough to share height with the entire building, with a silver metal template on the middle bars. You trust, and We serve, was inscribed on the template in a bold gold italic manner. The Investigative Office itself behind the gates was a mix color of gold and silver. The roofing was a vintage styled design and colored gold, while the rest of the building spread out along the field behind the gates.Elizabeth stepped forward in awe, and gripped the cool bars of the gate."Ere you sure tis where you're headed, little girl?" The tanned driver with a thick broken accent asked as he stepped beside Elizabeth dropping the rest of Elizabeth's luggage.Elizabeth nodded, and glanced back at the Investigative Office. "Yes, this is my destination." With a wide smile on her face Elizabeth replied. The Coachman dropped his hands from his waist and shrugged. "Whatever you say, child." With that he walked back into his Carriage and rode off."Great heavens...." Elizabeth muttered in Vieish– the Common language for Vie people, derived after they migrated from the once legendary Viean Country– grabbing her luggage from her side.Elizabeth paused for a second, curious and confused as to how she was going to get in. Her bright blue eyes glanced to the end of the gate for someone minding the gate or something but no one was there. She walked closer and stuck her head near the bars to look for anyone close by. How the hell did people get in? Elizabeth thought standing there."Elizabeth, Elizabeth Vilré?" A voice suddenly boomed startling Elizabeth for a split second.Elizabeth inched closer. "Yes?" He responded to the voice."Welcome to The Headquarters of the Investigative Office." The voice replied then there was the noise of the cool breeze till there was nothing.Startled Elizabeth tripped back a little as the gates suddenly began to open on their own. Great– Elizabeth who had grown up in the small Farmer town of Vie– eyes went wide in awe and wonderment.Elizabeth swallowed, almost frozen on spot at the full sight of the Headquarters without the gates. She released a low haughty laugh as her legs began to move. Her blue eyes twinkled in the sun making the specks of mirth in her swirl almost like liquid. Elizabeth's strange pink hair turned fiery from the heat of the sun. But that wasn't the true spectacular, no, it was Investigative Office Headquarters. The lines of tended flowers rolled out all over the Headquarters. Each flower was different and vibrant, so Elizabeth almost wanted to reach out and touch the ones by her side moving forward. She could see decently dressed persons up ahead by the water fountain of a merman on a rock releasing bright blue water from it's concrete mouth into the small pond. The ceiling of the building had silver star-like four-point polygon designs that shone like actual stars on the golden ceiling with silver polka-dots along with the star-like design.Elizabeth wished she could reach out to them just grab- "Miss Elizabeth Vilré?" A feminine voice snapped her out of her whirlwind of fascination.Elizabeth turned to the side where the voice came from. A woman stood inside a small silver booth with gold roofing nearest to the walls close to the hall doors. The woman with deep blond hair, and pale pasty white skin raised one blonde eyebrow at Elizabeth's staring. There was a phenomenon for people with skin like this in Hara– Albino. In Vie town they were labelled as cursed though.Elizabeth blinked, snapping out of it. "Uh...Um....Yes." She sputtered with a nod.She stared at her blankly for a second or two before cracking into a soft smile. "Alright. Here is your number slot," She pulled out a paper with number 45 on it from the booth. "And your map. Now you must find the Chief's office first, he'll begin your interview."She handed the map and number slot to Elizabeth which she collected and gave a small bow, before taking her quietness as a hint to get going."Welcome to the Investigative Office, Elizabeth Vilré!" She heard her say as she began walking away.Side eyes cast her direction. Many of the golden eyed species were curiously looking at the small human-like creature that had found her way into the Investigative Office."Where did this one come from?" One of the Detectives with starry dark eyes, indicating he was a delta ranking wolf whispered."I do not know. Could she be our new cleaning services?""With that outfit, she might as well be fit for a farmer.""Hm, but that face though? Could she be a runaway Noble?"Elizabeth cut through the heap of loudmouthed gossip. They all talked as if she were not even there. She followed the map and ended up at a corner with the plainest door she had ever seen. On the door the word– Chief was slapped on it.She breathed before taking steps and knocking on the door. She had not even tried to open the door when it suddenly whined and opened on it's own."I refuse this!" A hoarse voice yelled at the top of his lungs. "I have worked on this case for far too long to hand it over to anyone let alone, that Foíx bastard!"She hesitantly pushed her head in. "H-hello?"A pair of blood red eyes descended on her. "Who might you be?"She quickly showed the number slot."Come in," A cold voice ordered."You can not ignore me, Faustus, I have worked too damn hard on this to hand it over to, Oliviér Fóix! You know how the arrogant bastard can be!" The thin faced, golden eyed man shouted. The first thing Elizabeth noted as she entered inside the Chief's office was it was cool, cooler than the average room temperature."So what might your astonishing history record be, for you to have a job here?" His voice had such a bored tone and his eyes were focused on arranging some stack of letters by his side, that Elizabeth was nearly not aware he was speaking to her."U-m, I–I graduated–""For fuck's sakes, Faustus this case is my life!" The other man continued shouting.Elizabeth eyed her surroundings first. The decor of the room was white, a bride white, with silver strokes on the wall. A coat hanger close to the table.Nothing much in the room, except for how bloody cold it was inside."Hm, I would say take a seat, but you are not looking very impressive already so I'll tell you now that you will not get the job." Elizabeth darn near tripped, startled by the sudden deep voice.Elizabeth's hand squeezed her bag turning to the frightening red eyes that stared coldly at her.The Chief sat across the table. Red hair almost considered brown, curly and oiled on his head. A squared jaw with a clean shave. He looked quite old, but definitely very handsome for a middle-aged man.The Chief was wearing a white long sleeve with the first button undone. The grey coat matching the long sleeve kept on the coat hanger. He had glasses almost similar to Elizabeth's own on her face but Elizabeth could see that his were clearly way more expensive than his.Elizabeth swallowed at the man's cold and scrutinizing stare."S-sir please, I have not even said my name yet," She did not understand how she lost the opportunity just like that. The Chief touched the side of his glasses, fixing them a bit. "And what is your name? Even though it would be a waste of both our time."Elizabeth shook her head and cleared her throat. "S-Sir I am Elizabeth Vilré–"The man's thick but perfectly carved eyebrows knitted a bit. "Elizabeth Vilré? The Myriad?""Lord James told you?" Lord James was the Headmaster that had recommended her."Why did you not say so immediately," the Chief frowned a bit. "The job is yours, follow me."The other words in her throat dried."How can you do this to me? How can you murder me like this?" The thin faced man hushly asked, no longer yelling, as if he was somewhat defeated.Elizabeth darted her blue eyes in his direction, finally having the time to register his unkempt appearance. From his features, one could tell he could be the same age as the Chief, but somehow he still looked…. Older? He had short brown hair, the style of an army man. There was a shadow beard on his thin jaw with grey strands peppered in it. His face was frigid, and looked unwashed. He was standing so one could tell he was a bit taller than the average height, but everything about his exterior character seemed very….. human. If it were not for his golden eyes, it was very easy to mistake him for a human. The Chief stood up and sighed. "Murder? This order was given by the King himself, if you have a problem with it, Maximilian, then you approach His Majesty or to make things easier you can approach Oliviér and ask him to hand over your case
Gold smelted in the darkness of Mother's Hell. The Werewolves believed those who sinned against the renowned goddess would be sent to a purgatory could the 7th ring. There were 13 Summits, and each of those Summits represented a Deity. Mother Earth represented the 7th Summit and was revered by the Werewolves as if she was their own Mother.Right in front of Mother Earth was the Moon Slave– there was more history concerning this god but the Werewolves did not talk about him. They said he was evil, they said he would trap foolish Werewolves and use their souls as an ushering step to his awakening as the Moon god. Only Mother could be trusted amongst the thirteen Deities. This man. His eyes looked like the gold that represented Mother's eyes smelted into the dark Moon that represented the evil Deity Moon Slave. These elements made his eyes appealing, but mostly threateningly lulling. The slim, and fox shape of the lids around eyes, made them even more dangerous upto of intriguing. They g
Night in Hara Nation. The bright stars twinkled, scattered all over the skies of the great nation, forming a starry light that illuminated down in the thick woods of the Weeping Forest. The Pale Moon glistened the green leaves of the enormous mourk trees, shadowed and blanketed the tall figures that looked smaller than midgets amongst the giant-like Mourk Trees. The groups stood in these howling woods. One group dressed in identical commoner styled clothes. They're soiled, ripped, breeches and loose white V-necks turned completely brown, soiled from hard day's labour, and soured from being continuously worn. The leader stood out though, adorning a V-neck lace long sleeve, better looking than the top with brown colors, moth holes, and rolled up hems. His tight breeches weren't that bad as it looked pressed, and thoroughly washed to erase the brown stains that now looked faded. His hood though was black, and thick, fit for a middle-class man. He narrowed his one eye black, one eye mar
"Unforgivable," A distinct silhouette ushered out from the smoke that pervaded the environment. The disgusting smell of blood and burnt flesh filled the air. From the smoke grew two balls of fire, which became the only light in the smoke filled darkness."I had to watch it all fall. Ashes upon ashes of everything I had held closest to my all consuming heart. They said it was my destiny, so I wish to ask, is it your destiny to die by my hand?" A hush hush delicate voice reverberated. As the smoke began to slowly disperse from the balls of fire surrounding the area, then came into view bodies…. Burnt, ripped apart brutally. Only one man losing two legs leaned against an eyeless dead body while quivering. As the silhouette began to become a seeable frame the man gasped. He had realized that it was in fact not two balls of floating fire both rather a pair of this person's eyes. This person…. This person had fire for eyeballs.A shadow smirk appeared on the frame's face. Just as the perso
Elizabeth felt her heart palpitate once again after arriving at Hara. This…. Such a thing as coincidence should be rare right? Why did this man suddenly show up here? Elizabeth was not particularly brilliant at memorizing faces nor figures but there was a certain thing towards this person that made her remember. This man…. This man had somehow been the man she had teased at the border of Hara."Handsome man!"She had remembered yelling at him thinking there was a non-existent chance she would meet him.She had not seen his face, but she could not be more assured this was him.He bore a limpid expression on his chiseled face. It was the kind and gentle look a preacher would give, it did not match his warrior-like build or his domineering aura.Unlike Oliviér who had chiseled muscles, appropriate, slim, yet toned, the new character had a large and brick-like frame. He was wearing a golden armor which Elizabeth reckoned was very heavy and thick, yet his muscles managed to bulge through.
The Paladin looked pressed by the last sentence but said. "Do not drag this joke on, Oliviér, you will not pull the trigg–"Pow! Pow! Smoke emitted from the hole of the pistol.Elizabeth flinched from the gunshot sound. He-he actually pulled the trigger? He had shot someone in the head in broad daylight."Oh my god-" Elizabeth's words became stuck in her throat upon moving her eyes to the "Paladin" that had been shot. The man stood firmly, formerly gentle red eyes glaring intensely at the golden-red eyes man in front of him with a gun pressed against his head."You've truly lost your mind," The "Paladin's" deep voice reduced into a whisper, a crusty, and gravelly whisper.Elizabeth, who had once again felt churns of heat in her stomach, was baffled. A threatening warmth had begun swirling in her stomach again, and out of habit she reached out to her face to touch her cheek. Since she was a child she had always felt a bitter-sweet warmth in her stomach when something…. Excited her. Pe
Heeled boots clicked on the concrete ground of the majestic castle. Two silhouettes trotted past the grey pillars, one a female following attentively behind a male."You must have heard of the so-called Werewolf Butcher? I take it Bleach must be a god before Commoners."Elizabeth rolled her eyes. It had only been a day, scratch that a few hours since she had had a new Superior but somehow the man had become the most annoying being she had ever met.Ignoring his quirk for randomly mocking anything and everyone whenever he wanted, he also had to obviously take a blow to her status as a Commoner all the time.Elizabeth did not mind the insults though, but repeatedly there was no way it would not become annoying. She breathed through her nose and spoke. "Sir, perhaps to some, but I have never seen the butcher as a hero, a hero seeks justice and supresess injustice, not advocate for brutality and vengeance."Her eyes met with Oliviér's golden-red ones that had narrowed towards her while h
A light skinned lady rushed towards them. She was a majestic creature. A female with the lightest of skin Elizabeth had ever seen it could even be considered a beautiful chalk-white color. Hair pin straight black hair travelled towards her abdomen whilst the frontals were pulled back by a red and black ribbon. Her slim face flushed, while her bright red eyes gleamed cheerfully. An Alpha she-wolf.She held onto her bell-shaped gown, while walking towards them in long strides. Finally she reached and gave a deep bow which Elizabeth thought was unnecessarily dramatic…. But you know… whatever works. She raised her hair up with a gentle smile on her face. "Good day to Lord Fóix, I was beyond ecstatic once I heard you had taken over the Butcher case, all the other Detectives at the Office are so incompetent."Elizabeth nearly choked on her own saliva once she heard the lady speak. What was this? This kind of compliment? It was true that Oliviér was the best of the best Detective but this…..
