Alicia was taken aback, surprised by the lack of anger in Tobias' voice despite her infidelity. "Why aren't you angry? I betrayed you," she said, searching his face for a sign of fury.

"I don't see it as a betrayal. You meeting your mate doesn't hurt me," Tobias replied calmly, easing her worries.
