Chapter 42 The Empire fate

"Right. So selling them does have its benefits." Ren sneered. Maleficent's face went pale. "It is a good thing Valli is such a poster princess. Willing to jump into the fire herself. She will know agony like no other. You can count on it."

"What does he mean!?" Valli asked. A sinking knot now formed in her stomach. She turned to Davido and questioned. "What are you not saying? Tell me Uncle!"

They all remained quiet. Malificent just from sheer anger at what was done to Valli. But she was no longer the Empress, and would not interfere. Out in the open anyway. The moment she understood the full scope of what is going on would be a different story.
