89. Matter-Of-Factly

Nicolas woke up to a bright with a sense of confusion lingering. His memories were always a little hazy, but lately, he felt like something important was missing. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but there was a void inside him that he longed to fill.

He rubbed his temples and sat up straight, trying his best to focus on waking herself up fully. He hadn't slept well the night before because of his dream and he didn't need the added stress of a new client coming in the day after tomorrow.

Dianne didn't stay at his penthouse last night either because she went home, her brother went to Dianne's house to visit her sister, so that's why Nicolas had to sleep alone last night and woke up lonely.

As Nicholas slowly dragged himself out of bed and made his way to the bathroom to shower and change, his mind wandered to the dream. It felt strange. The dream itself was very vivid, but the events leading up to the dream seemed too real to be real.
