Chapter Twenty-nine

Tiana's POV

The dusty road path made me to scrunch my nose and eyes in irritation as the car drove on the main road of the village.

I was in my usual, hoddie and joggers. I was never fashion crazy when nothing happened to me, let alone in a mourning mood. I just packed my hair in a bun and NY face was nothing to write about, it was make-up blank.

Just few minutes ago, we saw some malnourished children ;big stomach and head with tiny legs, dusty and looking uncared for on the way. Their eyes lingered through scorching sun at our car in awe.

They stopped immediately when they sighted the car from afar and their their playing cans with tensed faces and waited for us to pass by.

Children at the age of 2-4 among them had clothes that barely reached their knees. Not deliberately from my judgement , those clothes looked like like they've been wearing since they were infants, but couldn't change them.
