Chapter Twenty-Eight

It's been three months since Lyla has been with the old man who took care of her but sometimes she doubts if the man has forgotten about his daughter who was killed by a werewolf of a supposed pack she doesn't know of. And it's been three months since the stranger who saw Lyla for who she really was has been on her trail waiting for an opportunity to grab and use against her.

"I love working at your restaurant. I mean the people are so nice." Lyla spoke packing her hair which was obstructing her from eating.

"Sure girl. They have always been like that. And just they've liked you, they loved my daughter too when she was alive." he concluded not looking at Lyla but concentrating on his food which he seems to be eating forcefully.

"I'm sorry. I…I mean…" but when Lyla saw that the man did not bulge she kept quiet and ate her food.

After a long silence, the man left Lyla in the kitchen and went to his room. Locked his door and wept silently.

"He's acting weird.
