Chapter 32: The Liar And The Queen
“THE long wait is over! Please rise and welcome Her Majesty, the Alpha Queen!”
The crowd cheered and clapped for my arrival. I could see the anticipation in their eyes and I could feel their enthusiasm about this event but I couldn’t say the feeling was mutual.
While walking towards the center stage along with the Council behind me, I glanced at my wristwatch. It was ten minutes before eight in the evening. Once the clock ticks at eight, the doors will be closed. The contender who would fail to arrive by the given time would automatically be eliminated.
And yet, Blade wasn’t here yet.
Despite the masks everyone was wearing, I knew I would still be able to identify the devil once I see him. I would feel his presence right away and as of the moment, none of these men could make my heart react as wildly as he did.
I should have known he wouldn’t come.
