“Hey,” an Omega tapped Ruthie on the shoulder, causing her to jump in fear.“ Who are you? And what are you doing here?” he asked her.

“I'm the new girl the alpha king accepted into this pack today. I'm working as one of the palace maids.” she quickly responded.

“What were you assigned to do in the palace? Because I did not trust you. You look suspicious.” said the Omega, inching his face closer to hers through gritted teeth.

Fear gripped Ruthie and her grip tightened on her clothes as she took a few steps backward.
