CIARA’S POV

I stood at the door watching as George gushed over Arianna, thanking her for coming. It was ridiculous. Since when was she special? This had to be a joke.

And Carter suddenly being nice to her. I should have known he was all talk. He could fight any wolf in the country but he couldn’t best Luciano. His brain might as well be full of air.

“Have you seen your parents yet? They must be thrilled to have you back.”

“This seemed really urgent. I’m sure they’ll understand why you were my first stop.” Arianna explained to George.

My phone beeped and I looked at it with a smile on my face. Bless Max for doing this for me. It was a no consequence message so I put it away before anyone noticed.
