/Javier's POV/
The courtyard was deathly silent as Celina stepped out of the room, shoulders hunched. Javier couldn't help but eye her, a familiar pang in his chest. The last time they met during his birthday, he wanted to talk with her forever. Unfortunately, their meeting was short-lived as the Prince had to attend a matter of urgency.
Behind her, Javier noticed a familiar face of his Royal Army.
It's the choosing day. Every year the dragon riders are invited to the Castle, where they get paired with a dragon. The tradition has been going on for several centuries now. Mostly because it's easy to find the dragons and their riders in one place.

/Abels POV/Abel recognised the parts of the forest as he passed through it. His stomach was a knot of nerves, as always at the thought of going back.
