SARAH
Time flew really slow in this mansion and I was still getting to know my way around. After the incident with Emilio in the morning, I never saw him again. I was later told by Grace that he had left for work. I was eternally grateful for that. I just can not stand that man! I have never seen a more vain, selfish and wicked man ever in my life. With Emilio gone, the mansion seemed safer and had an air of freedom all around it.So I did a bit of exploring around the mansion to while away the day. There was nothing else I could do. I tried assisting the maids in the house chores but they refused because Emilio had given them strict instructions on not to involve me in the house chores except he ordered it.There was nothing I could do to alter his rule or their minds so I complied. I discovered a broad but cozy library at the uppermost floor of the mansion with shelves reaching to the ceiling. Plush sofas were scattered all around, surrounded by the comforting scent of aged books. It was a haven for literature enthusiasts, knowledge oozing all around. After reading a few books, I decided to venture out of the mansion in order to enjoy nature's warmth. I then stumbled upon a lush green garden at the back of the mansion with a fountain in the middle.Truthfully this mansion was beautiful. By the time I was done enjoying the serenity of nature, it was already sunset and Emilio was still not back which I was very thankful for.Currently right now I was laying on my bed and pondering about my grandmother and brother. I always made sure to talk to them daily but Emilio's rules were so strange. I was tempted to secretly call them but the fear of Emilio finding out wouldn't permit me. It felt like he was watching my every move from where he was."Miss Sarah?" A tender female voice was accompanied by a slow knock on the door.I stood up, wondering which of the maids it could be."Come in" I replied. The door knob turned and the door was pushed open. "Miss Sarah, dinner is ready and Mr Emilio is around. He wants to have dinner with you"The devil is back already."Can't my food be brought to me privately? I prefer eating alone" I inquired."No I am afraid not. He wants to have dinner with you. Do not disobey him please" she pleaded, the disdain on my face was already apparent."It's fine" I sighed, "It seems I have no choice" I muttered."You can go. I'll come downstairs"She was hesitant to leave, "Uhm he instructed me to make sure you come down with me. And he gave me just five minutes to do that"My mouth flew open, I wanted to protest but I couldn't protest to her.She was not the one who gave the order.Pressing my lips tight together, I placed a forced smile on my face and nodded my head to her. "Let us go together then shall we?"We walked out of the room and towards the stairs. I walked behind her, my heart beat pounding faster with each step I took until I had gotten to the edge of the stairs. There he was. My Tormentor. Our eyes locked, a rapid surge of overwhelming anxiety flowed through me instantly. He sat in the dining chair, slowly eating a piece of chicken stuffed on his fork, savoring the meat with each slow bite as if taking pity on the animal that had been prepared for him.His gaze on me never faltered, there was something about the way he stared at me that got me feeling self conscious.I lowered my eyes and hid my profile behind the maid's but I doubt it did anything to evade his gaze from looking my way. She led me to a dining chair directly opposite Emilio and pulled it out for me. After sitting, she dished out my own food and my God the aroma was heavenly.I began eating in silence, the only sound made being the clink and clatter of our cutleries.Hopefully we remain this way till dinner is over."How was your day Sarah?" Emilio's voice penetrated the silence.I swallowed the food in my mouth and forced myself to speak, "It was fine sir""Are you back to your senses now?" He asked which seemed more like mockery to me."I beg your pardon sir" I was bemused by his statement.Emilio dropped his cutleries and gazed at me, "Was I speaking Latin? Why do you act so foolish at times?" His inflection signified a growing rage which I had unknowingly sparked by my reply. My brows furrowed together, "Me sir? What did I do this time?"He let out a dark chortle, "You are rude, disobedient and you have such an ego that pisses the hell out of me!" He banged his fist on the dining table giving me such a big fright."Oh I see. All because I will not give into what you want is that it? That is why you are yelling at me sir?" I asked, puzzling myself at where my sudden boldness was stemming from.Suddenly my phone buzzed in my pocket, ringing so loudly. Emilio's eyes, a fiery blaze of indignation burned. "Did I not warn you to delete everyone's number from your phone?" His tone dropped fearfully low and he stood up from his seat, advancing towards me.Oh my God. This ain't good. I stood up at once, backing away from his murderous glares. "I did. I swear I did sir" I replied truthfully with my heart in my stomach."Now tell me who the fuck is calling you!?" He thundered, cornering me by the edge of the stairs and gripping on to my hairs. His fingers curled in my scalp causing me to let out a painful cry."I don't know sir" I cried, hot tears rolling down my cheeks.Unsatisfied with my respone, Emilio dragged me to the centre of the living room by pulling my hair whilst my heartwrenching cries drew the attention of the maids."Sir please. Let go it hurts!" I cried, hitting his arm but it was a weak attempt as his grip on my hair tightened."You will learn to respect and fear me by the time I am done with you" he snarled."Ouch. Somebody please help me. Sir. Mr Emilio let go" I cried even harder."Let go of me please!" I pleaded. Emilio made me kneel in the centre of the living room with his grip still fastened on to my hair."I need every staff in this house here right now!" Emilio barked, his tone like a thunderstorm creating panic within the hearts of the maids who scurried towards us."Now you all listen carefully, for the next forty eight hours, you shall not serve this bitch here a single morsel of food"My jaws flew open. I stared at him in blank shock. He was starving me for two days.Gasp flew within the maids but nobody dared protest on my behalf. How could they? They were frightened of him."Am I understood!?""Yes sir" they sang in unison."Good.." he growled, before flickering his hot orbs my way, "You are so disobedient. I will really enjoy breaking your spirit and seeing you become nothing but a depressed and traumatized soul!" "Why sir? What is my offense that makes you treat me like this?" My cries came out as whispers.Emilio gave no reply but shoved me to the cold tiled floors before walking away, his anger still mirroring in his demeanour. My tears flooded my vision, and my head spinned. I could barely make my way up the stairs and I just slumped on the ground crying bitterly. Can my life really get any worse than this?SARAH The morning came with an air of melancholy for me. I was up early. Well I did not get much sleep last night. I had cried myself to sleep and I could barely stay asleep for more than an hour.Because every now and then I kept on having scary dreams of Emilio either killing me or molesting me.And I'd always wake up with a terrible fright,a palpitating heart accompanied by numerous sweat beads coating my forehead even though the room was cold.I still can't fathom who called me yesterday?I made sure to delete everyone's number and I don't even give out my numbers to strangers so who could it be? I had just less than twenty contacts on my phone and majority were just numbers of the people who offered house hold services such as the plumber, laundryman, delivery guy and so on.I barely had friends or time to even make friends. The only friend I knew was Sofia. And I could tell that wasn't her number. I knew my brother's and grandma's number by heart so it wasn't theirs either. I h
SARAH I limped to my room in pain, Emilio's hurtful words still resonating in my ears and taunting me.He called my existence a mistake. My only uncle told me that same thing once when I approached him to help lend a hand to my brother's school bills. I was going to take full responsibility of my education anyway I could but I just needed a helping hand for my brother's. He refused to do so, threatened to shoot me if he ever did see me again and called me a badluck to whoever I was with.As I sat on my bed, I recounted those hurtful words Uncle Mark said to me. According to him my existence was a mistake because my mother was not even meant to marry my father in the first place. She had a richer suitor but she chose my father and when I was born, he lost his job which plunged us into a life of struggle and hardship. And it only aggravated when mum and dad died three years ago. I was just sixteen and Noah was fourteen. How we survived up till now it's truly a miracle. I cried m
SARAH I woke up to an incredibly hungry stomach. I was starving badly and the only thing I had taken since yesterday was water, lots and lots of it.My head spinned, feeling like the weight of a dumbbell and I had the urge to throw up. Placing my feet down, my eyes drifted to the digital clock on the wall. This was 7:30 in the morning.A heavy and tired sigh left my lips. Time to go prepare breakfast and possibly the laundry before going to the supermarket to stock up the house with groceries and dairy products. The running of this house isn't easy, especially not for one hungry person alone. I limped to the bathroom to freshen up and begin the days work. Once out, I quickly applied my body lotion, a body spray and wore my clothes.I contemplated on whether I should fall my hair or pack it up. But I realised that whenever I did pack it up, it made it easier for Emilio to grip me by my hair so I let it fall. As I dressed my bed, the ringing of my phone sliced through the silenc
Sarah sprinted, her legs carrying her away from the boutique. Distance from Emilio was her only goal.Breathless, she weaved through the bustling crowd, accidentally bumping into people and nearly stumbling in her haste to escape Emilio's grasp.Glancing anxiously over her shoulder, she checked for any sign of Emilio in the sea of people. The fear that he might be closing in fueled her urgency. She figured he must have realized her escape by now. If not at this moment, soon enough. But by then, she prayed she'd be well beyond his reach. Sarah had no clue where she was going amidst the bustling crowds."I'm so sorry.""Excuse me. I am truly sorry.""I'm truly, truly sorry," were the words she kept rambling as she navigated through the people, shuffling her feet along the paved walkways.Gradually, her strength waned as she ran, breaths becoming heavy. She paused, anxiety etched on her face as her eyes scanned the surroundings. A sense ofbeing watched crept over her, a chilling feeling
SARAH "Emilio please wait" I cried at the top of my voice as Emilio dragged me by the hand roughly towards the mansion the moment we stepped out of his car.Lightening flashed across the sky accompanied by the ferocious sound of thunder. The storm was fierce, signifying the imminent storm in my life once I walk through those doors."Emilio please just hear me out! I beg you!" I pleaded, the rain drowning my pleas. Tears blurred my vision and I could barely see anything. His grip was unyielding, tight and searing hot on my skin. I felt he would break my bones."stupida stronza" Emilio cursed in italian as he shoved me into the mansion and shut the doors tight. I fell on the floor with a loud thud, bruising my already bruised knees even more."Stronza! Fucking stupid bitch!" He growled at me forcing me to snap my gaze to his.His eyes, a fiery of indignation burned on me, causing fear to evoke within me.I shivered and it was not because of the rain which I had just been drenched in
SARAHMy eyes slowly fluttered open, a yawn escaping my parched lungs. My head felt like the weight of a dumbbell the moment I sat up on the bed, throbbing at the back, I guess I was having a migraine. My vision was hazy so it took a while for it to adjust to my surroundings. As it unfolded, I slowly realised I was in my room. How did I get here? I was under the rain hours ago I presume. Did Emilio bring me in himself? My eyes darted to the windows and it was still evident that the rain was still falling as it splattered across the closed windows. My eyes then moved to the digital clock on the wall and the time got me shrieking. This was eight in the night. Time really flew so fast. When I and Emilio came back it was still around noon though the rain made it seem like it was dusk.Had I been standing under the rain from noon till dusk? "Awww" I held onto my head, the migraine throbbing regardless. My eyes moved around my dark room, fear creeping unto me for some reason. My room w
SARAHI didn't react at that moment when Emilio whispered into my ear. It felt like I was still being hypnotizedSuddenly, comprehension struck, and it was as if a veil had been lifted from my eyes.My heart began beating frantically like a person who had regained his senses and I cried out immediately."No, no please!"Ignoring my plea, Emilio lifted my skirt once more, raising it so high that I could have sworn he glimpsed my panties. His hands leisurely caressed my exposed thighs."No please Emilio! I am sorry I'd never disobey you again!" I pleaded and cried. I closed my eyes, writhing in fear after realising there was nothing I could do.Emilio wouldn't do this without my consent, would he?Tears streamed down my face as the fear of losing everything clouded my mind. I cried and sobbed bitterly, but then, after a few minutes of flailing around, I realized a sudden lightness. It dawned on me that Emilio's body was no longer on top of mine, and my wrists were no longer bound.I slo
SARAH"Uhm Luca, I prepared breakfast" I informed him. Luca adverted his focus from his phone to me and his eyes shone with delight."Splendid. By the way how was your night?" He asked as he stood up from the sofa."Well after you finally turned down the volume of the music, I got some sleep" I snapped at him which earned me his boyish grin."C'mon now princess don't sound like that. I am not a boring dude like my cousin. I am very outgoing" he smirked. "And friendly too" he added as we both sat on the chairs in the dining area.Well truthfully he was far friendlier than Emilio. Ever since his arrival yesterday by noon, we haven't really had any serious issues. After I prepared a meal for him, I practically did not set my eyes on him again till around 10 pm. Truly he was outgoing. And the way he spoke, his behaviour in general was quite different from Emilio's. He always passed me a compliment at any given chance. His smile never left his lips. Maybe I was wrong about him after all.
