The king's announcement brought the meeting to a close. Thereafter, food was brought to the table. Helion politely refused on the basis that he had eaten at a town just before theirs. A blatant lie of course. He hadn't eaten since we left Kaltain and he obviously could not request for humans at Valinor. However, he sat at the table with me which I found to be very sweet.

I on the other hand was very hungry, even starving. The queen excused herself from the table when it was time to eat, I noticed from the worried gaze of the king that she wasn't returning. I couldn't help but include that she intentionally wasn't eating as a result of the uncertainty of whether her son was alive or dead.

When I finished my plate, I thanked the king with a bow. I looked over to Helion to find his gaze on me. My lips formed into a small smile before turning away. Shortly after, the king also finished his meal and got up. We got up with him.
