Chapter Fifty One

Two weeks later

"Why is that fool still so noisy even after you're married?". I asked Beth. "I don't like it."

"I'm sorry. I thought he left when I told him to. I should have made sure." She apologized. "Are you mad at me?".

"No." I said. "But I want to punch his face in. People think you're cheating on me with him."

She paled and looked around the restaurant but people were just minding their own business. I'd decided that we were too cooped up in the palace so we'd come out for fresh air. Dressed casually, we blended in with the other customers even though the manager of the restaurant had been beside himself when he came out to greet us. You'd think we were celebrities or something.

"Relax." I placed my hand on hers. "No one would dare look at you the wrong way."

"But he's gone now?". She muttered.

"Yeah. Michael made sure of it. Saw him to the airport and watched him get on the plane." I shrugged. "He didn't leave until the plane took off."

She heaved a sigh of relief
