Chapter 12

Nivea's POV:

I was kinda concerned when Keenan asked me about my ex, but being as Richard hasn't been in the picture for a long time I didn't mind telling him. I fell asleep on the bed with Keenan at about 2 or 3 am. I had already mindlinked the Alpha and let him know I had found my mate and was taking the week off. With how much I work I knew he wouldn't mind.

I open my eyes and I'm laying on the bed by myself. I look around the room for Keenan but I don't see him. I try to sniff to catch his scent but it's not there at all.

"Keenan? Hun are you awake?" I call out and no answer. I hear a knock at the door so I get out of the bed and go to the door thinking that he went to get breakfast again and locked the door.

Walking to the door I feel a gut wrenching feeling in my stomach and had second thoughts of opening the door. Reluctantly I opened it, gasped in horror and took a step back.

"Did you really think I wouldn't find your house my love?" Richard said with that evil sly g
