John wished he could have been born a few years later or that Noelle could have been born a few years earlier.

Noelle stepped out of the car at the entrance and walked over. John approached to greet her, looking dashing in his white attire. Indeed, John was a charming man.

"Hey, Jo!" Noelle greeted him warmly.

John secretly wished she had called him by his name.

"Hey! Did the divorce proceedings go smoothly?" John's words always carried a comforting warmth.

Noelle smiled awkwardly and sighed, "They're on hold for now. Quentin had a car accident and is hospitalized."
