Chapter 88.

Asteria POV.

It has been a few weeks since we went to the pack and were now back at the beach mansion. Tonight is the full moon.

We are celebrating. We have invited our friends to Carter’s first shift, just like they do when a werewolf shifts for the first time. I thought it was only right to do this for him. Sirens shift from birth, and this is a monumental occasion.

I flush the toilet and brush my teeth again. The morning sickness hit me two weeks ago and I’m sporting a small baby bump.

Every opportunity that Carter gets, he is always touching my belly, either with his hands or his lips. Every night after my nightly swim and we are settled in bed. He lifts my top and reads a story to my belly. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

But this morning sickness is the only downside. I have never known a siren to have this sickness. But then again, I am on land, so that could be a reason. But who knows?
