Chapter 107

When Aurora woke up it was already late in the evening. With sleepy eyes, she sat up on the bed and yawned. A thin smile crossed her lips when she remembered the passionate moment she shared with Luca.

Eyes fully opened, she turned to stare at the man beside her but was shocked to find out that the bed was empty.

"Luca?" she whispered, her tone still slurry. She felt the space beside her and noticed how cold it was. It meant Luca must have climbed out of bed long ago. She got out of bed and forced her legs into the slippers on the floor and walked out of the room.

"Luca?" she called as she strolled through the passage and stopped when she heard low voices coming from the kitchen. She walked down the small stairs and stopped by the kitchen door when she heard,

"You've got to protect her," Luca said "With your life, Leo." he said rather aggressively.
