Andrea became tied tongue.

"Well, answer me!"

"You're mistaken," Andrea looked away "It was a friend of mine and not Luca's wife."

Alex chuckled as he took few steps further into the room.

"Andrea, you must think that I'm a fool. I want you to know that for everything I do, there's a reason. That includes your staying here! You dare lie to my face even when I heard those words loud and clear."

"You're a loner with no one to love you and care for you. You cannot even have kids of your own. And you tell me a friend of yours? Do you even have friends?" his laughter mocked her.

"You're not any different from me." Andrea retorted and refused to give in to her meek nature.

Alex slid his hands into his pocket and smirked down at her.

"I've accepted that long ago, Andrea. You're still hanging unto that little hope that someone loves you. And that's your weakness."

"Leave my room, Alex." Andrea stiffened her gaze.

Ignoring her glare he said, "I want to know every detail."
