The twins looked amazing. I didn't know how to react. Before I could say anything, Sam had sent them back upstairs. I felt like something had been ripped away from me. An opportunity was taken away before it was visible.
" So why are you here?" she asked me again. I could feel the anger radiating from her. Although her face looked calm, I felt her anger, which made me realise that the shaman had spoken the truth about our connection.
" Sam," I began, but I had no words, so I said the first thing that came to my mind. "I am sorry."
"Sorry about what?" she asked.
" About everything. I acted without thinking, and I have no excus
Samantha My day had been ruined by Alex's visit. I wasn't expecting I would ever see him again. He had hurt me deeply. He abandoned me at a time when I needed him the most. I knew it would be impossible to forgive him. I didn't want him in the lives of my children. I didn't want their hearts broken so early in life. If he could abandon me the way he did, nothing stops him from doing the same to Nicole and Nicolas. I just couldn't allow it. I will hold my grounds against him a little longer until I decide on what to do about the Luna Eclipse pack. " I am so sorry. I was so mad at Mason for bringing him here," Rhonda apologised when I got home. It was obvious she had been worried since I left. " It's okay, Rhonda. I am sure Mason
Alex I returned to the settlement completely broken and beaten down. Damien was elated to see Sam, but he also felt a strong longing. I knew that Sam and I were the reason why our wolves could not be together, but it was clear that they were still bonded. Everything that happened and what I did keep replaying in my mind. I should have acted differently. Everything I did was completely wrong. I hated my mother and the pack members for what they did to me. I was in a bad place back then. My father had died, my mate was sick, and they took advantage of the situation to have their way. Getting Sam back would be impossible. Her eyes were no longer as gentle as they once were when she looked at me. Only the goddess knew what she went through in the human town. I couldn't protect her. I failed to provide for her and be there. A failure that had cost me everything. When she sent me the letter and returned all that I had given her, I searched for her. I sent pack members to search for her s
Samantha Alex had been very helpful. Often he would babysit while I go to work. Initially, he begged me to stop working and that I should move back to the house he bought. I rejected his offer. He then offered the same help to Elisabeth, but she too rejected it. I knew he wouldn't stop, so I threatened to cut off again if he persisted. It worked like magic. He stopped offering help and chose to babysit so he could spend time with the twins. The twins had started to bug me about visiting their father. They were too young, and they were already attached to him. I kept saying no, but I knew a time would come when they would have to go there. So I took it upon myself to take them there on one of my free days. I didn't tell Alex because I wanted it to be a surprise. Rhonda offered to drive
Alex The silver wolf looked like us, but it was pure silver, and it was huge. "I am here in search of someone, and we would be on our way." It spoke to me. It wasn't moving its jaws, yet everyone heard it speak. I was afraid, but I had to stand my ground. Everyone had shifted and stood next to me. Everyone except Sam. I needed to protect her with my life. My Children were inside the building. If we don't defeat them, then we would all be dead. " I see you have nothing I want," the silver wolf concluded, turned away, faded into mist and disappeared, but not after it had ordered its evil-looking mutant wolves to finish us. The
Samantha. Alex sat across from me in the living area of his apartment. He had managed to put on some clothes. Most of the furniture was still covered, which indicated no one was living there. I wonder where he slept, but it wasn't my business, so I decided not to ask. " First of all, I need you to hear me out," he began " I didn't reject you because of Hilda or the pressure that the pack was putting on me, Sam. I rejected you out of fear, fear of you dying. We had been attacked too many times, and you weren't looking well. I thought if you remained here, you would die and I knew that I would not forgive myself if you died because of this pack. I wanted you to live, Sam. I did it to protect you." he explained. " It doesn't matter why you did it, Alex. The fact remains that you did it. You dumped me in the human town where I knew no one, with some money. You were the only family I had, and you abandoned me. You didn't only do that, you blocked me from coming to the settlement. You kne
Alex I was truly hopeful that Sam and I would be able to patch things up. Her eyes were cold. They were not the same eyes that used to greet me in the mornings. She must have been through a lot in the human town. I had pleaded with her to stop cleaning people's homes for a leaving, but she refused. I couldn't fault her, but the issue was that she wasn't making enough to care for herself or the twins. I tried to get Elisabeth to take money from me to care for them, but Elisabeth told me that Sam would refuse her help too. This was a discussion we would have to have eventually. I felt empty when Sam told me she hadn't forgiven me yet. Although Damien had assured me otherwise, I believed she no longer loved me. I had lost her completely. I couldn't blame her for her distrust towards me because I had hurt her too many times. It took a while to get her to open up to me when we found out we were fated to be together. After everything she had gone through in the pack as a servant, things go
Samantha Time flew by fast. Alex had relocated to town, but I made sure we had minimal contact. Helena had been silent for a while, but there was no way I was going to allow her to force me to reconcile with Alex. The Gamma and Delta of the Luna Eclipse pack had reached out to me. Beta Glover Alex Newmoon and his son had run away from the pack. They said it happened when his son delivered my message to him. I didn't care where he'd run to, I intended to hunt him down and have him pay for what he did to my family. The pack was in disarray. Beta had bankrupt the pack, so they couldn't rebuild the settlement. He also made away with business documents that belonged to my family. The alpha always handled the financial dealings of a pack and my pack was no different. The Alpha was the only one that was allowed to have dealings with the humans. This was because spirit wolves were a danger to humans. A spirit wolf could turn a human into an apex werewolf hence the need to keep them apart.
Samantha Working with Sylvester was a bit difficult because I found him to be very serious-minded. I didn't know much about business and that was because my father never got the chance to train me. I had to rely heavily on Sylvester, and he did not know much either. Our tradition of isolating ourselves from Humans had done a lot of damage without us noticing. If only we were allowed to interact with humans and also acquire their education we would have evolved. I compared our pack with the werewolves pack, and the truth was, even though we were higher wolves than them, they were more advanced and comfortable than we were. Realising our situation was helpless, I decided we would need to consult Alex. Sylvester tried to kick against it but later agreed eventually.
