Confronting Deakin

It had taken all the strength within me to walk down to the dungeons and just be in the same room as Deakin. Several powerful magicians bordered the room, their magic lining the walls and keeping Deakin’s magic at bay.

There were seven of them in total. As I had made my way into the room, their emotions flowed through my, my control so lost after the battle. It was obvious from the disdain in their thoughts and emotions, their feelings for their prisoner, but what I didn’t expect was their annoyance. I recognised one of the magicians as Emerus, one of the council members.
