She was in shock. Kristen couldn’t believe she had heard him say what he had said. It was so surreal at the moment because of everything that had happened. Nothing seemed real as she looked at him so closely. His face was right there next to hers, and she couldn’t say anything to him. She was completely at a loss for words. Clearing her brain was never easy, but this was almost too much as the sound of his voice was echoing there with those words. That statement was nothing she had dreamt of hearing. Not from anyone, but it was more than that because it was him. When she could finally clear her throat, “What?”
