Forty nine

It wasn’t that day. It wasn’t the next. Two days after the police paid Greg a visit at school that Kristen noticed that a few things seemed off around her car in the morning. She ignored it, though, knowing that she needed the extra time to get around when she got to school. Now that she was getting bigger with the growth of the baby, it was making her have a hard time walking and getting up. She was adjusting to the newness of her body as it changed.

When she got to her first class, she was already worn out from the moving around. She knew that she had to get to the class and then she could rest. That was when she thought she felt someone watching her a little too closely. She turned to see but couldn’t see anyone there. She walked into the building, and the feeling passed. The energy coming from her abdomen was also high. However, it was trying to reach out to calm her down more than anything else.
