Those deep blue eyes kept staring, imploring me to open the window. To let him in. He could just break the glass and charge in. But he’s waiting. He’s waiting for me to make the choice. For us. ‘Go away,’ I said and heard my voice in a whisper.

But he stayed where he was and since my eyes had adapted to the darkness, I could make out the shape of his wolf through the translucent curtains. Those piercing eyes were glowing in bright blue, begging me to open the window.

‘I said.’ My hands clenched tighter, driving my nails into my palms. ‘GO AWAY.’
