Chapter 62

A sudden pain shot in Hazel's wrist and she snapped open her eyes. When she blinked her eyes to clear her vision she saw she was lying on the bed but as far as she remembers she was ended up on the floor. Then she realised she turned her body making the pain to jolt in her wrist. She saw her wrist bandaged and immediately sat up on the bed.

Did Daxon do this? Is he here? Were the only thoughts coming in her mind. She slowly stepped down from the bed with her weak body and started dragging herself towards the window of her room. Her bandaged wrist was cradled into her chest. She reached the window and looked out straight in the rose garden but there was no one.

"Madame you should rest." came the voice from behind her.

She snapped her head towards the voice and saw Mrs. Elsie standing there with a smile on her face. She nodded her head at her slowly and started walking back to bed. Mrs. Elsie placed the tray of food on the bed which Hazel didn't noticed before.
