Sophie (five days later)
After the resort, our days have been really busy. Logan has been staying in my house for the most part. He's still trying to convince me to move into his house, but I'm just not sure I'm ready to say goodbye to my new house. I mean, literally... I just bought this house.
So, until then, he has been staying here with me. Ethan and Johnny have been coming and going with Johnny's gigs, and for the most part, Lexie and I keep busy at the office. The girl I had hired to look after Nathan, Nancy, will be helping me out at the office during the hours that Nate is at school.
For the most part, Logan still calling Ethan Kyle, or Mark
πππππππLogan"I can not explain to you how happy she makes me feel, T. My son is amazing, and Sophie is so good with him. He is so damn smart, I swear." I say chuckling as I thought back to all of the conversations I've had with him, the past few days."I bet he is. He's got two of our old high school's biggest nerds as his parents," he says chuckling, making me laugh."What about Rox? Did Sophie talk to you about her situation already?" I sigh at the sound of his question. I never thought Roxanne could be so low. I thought we were friends? But I was able to tell something was off ever since we arrived at the resort. Rox has no idea... She thinks I didn't notice the way she was
πππππππSophieLogan and I had lunch, saving some of the wine for later tonight. He surprised me by stopping to get a nice piece of chocolate cake on the way to pick up Nathan from school. We made our way to the elementary and waited for school to end. Soon as the bell rang, Logan wasted no time and got out of the car to walk with me. A few minutes pass, and we finally see my baby's teacher walking with the kids in a single file. "Ok kids, if you see your mom or dad, you have to tell me so you can go." His teacher said as he came to the front. Roxanne was already out, letting her kids go home and talking to the parents of one of her students. Amber came up, looking at her
οΏΌπππππππππSophieAs usual, Logan picked me up from work early and we made our way to pick up Nathan from school. He parked the car and made his way around to open the door for me. I took his hand and wrapped my arms around him, kissing him on his lips soon as I got out of the car. It seems so surreal, we have been together for a whole month now, but it seems as if we never parted. We fit in so perfectly.Logan is the best with Nathan, and he helps me out so much at home. His birthday is coming in just a few weeks, and I'm meeting with T in a few days to talk about proper arrangements for his wedding and possibly making a party for Logan. He's getting married in December, I can
πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨Sophie"Babe, are you sure you're ok with this? That was a drastic decision you took back there. It won't be too much for you? I mean you already have your writing, and your photography studio, Nate....and now this?" Logan whispers in the kitchen as I prepare the chicken we will be having for dinner. McKenzie and Nate sit by the coffee table in the living room of our open concept, they are enjoying their time together coloring in Nate's coloring books. I look back at them, Nathan can feel me starting, and throws a bright smile my way. "Logan, as much as I want to sit around and pout, or be mad at Amber, I can't. I know she did wrong lying to me, but it's much her fault as it is mine for believing her. Besides..." I say turning around to continue seasoning my batter and begin to place the chicken on it. "It's not Kenzie's fault, and I don't want to hold any grudges towards Amber. I'm past the revenge on her phase. We have
πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨ Sophie After we sat to watch paw patrol, we sent Nathan to take a bath and sent him off to sleep. Logan and I enjoyed a quiet night as we sat to watch another movie, cuddled up on the couch and drinking a glass of wine. By nine in the evening, he got a call from New York and had to log on to his computer for a virtual meeting with his boss in New York. Lexie made her way out of her room and sat with me on the couch. She looked pensive, giddy, and a little too happy, and I just knew something was up with her. I turned around to face her, bending my knee and resting my foot on the sofa. "Ok, spill it. Something's up. I know you, what's going on?" I said looking straight at her. She giggles, and turns to face me, bending her knee just like me. "Sophie...my dear, dear Sophie. You look beautiful today, did I tell you that? You're glowing." she says
οΏΌπβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨LoganThe day had been pretty windy. So it was no surprise that around midnight, while Sophie and I laid asleep, it began to rain. And it was not going to be an easy storm. Sophie sighed as she laid sound asleep on her stomach. She looked so peaceful, so beautiful. I leaned down, kissed her shoulder, as I slowly trailed my hand down from her back to her waist. She sighed, stirring lightly, making me smile. I slowly trailed my hand down to her thigh, and rose her nightgown to her waist, exposing her laced underwear. She looks absolutely sexy.It poured down hard. I could hear the rain beginning to pour down harder. A few minutes after, I saw the first lightning, followed by the thunder soon after. It was a faint thunder, but still, close by. By the end of the third thunder, Nathan screamed. "Mommy! Daddy!
πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨SophieI was nervous as I made my way down the steps of the house. I had completely forgotten about my appointment today with my doctor. I don't know why I always get so scared. Maybe the fact mom had breast cancer, and grandma died for the same reason always has me on edge.Since the year mom died, I have been going to get my usual mammograms every six months. Up to now, everything seems to be good. I had my gene test last time I went and the doctor told me that it looked as though I did not inherit the gene that caused mom to have cancer. Nonetheless, I still get checked every six months without a miss.I was so nervous that I panicked when I couldn't find my phone, later to feel stupid when Logan pointed that I had it in my hand the whole time. Maybe I'm just overreacting a little. Everything will be fine, right?"Ready to go?" Logan said as
πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨πβ¨ Sophie His request for me to tell him about what was happening with Rox, through me off, completely. I mean...literally! It took me by surprise. βI...um...what do you mean? Nothing is going on between Roxanne and me. Why would you assume anything was going on here, with her.β I crossed my hands over my chest, turning my head towards the window and biting down on my bottom lip. βAre you...sure?β he asked, making me feel unease. Logan has always been a smart man. He knows me far too well to know when something is bothering me. Well....all except he was unable to tell T was gay because he let his dumb manly jealous rage take over him...but other than that, he's always been able to read me. I sighed, I'm crossing my hands and looking at him, as I rested my head on the
