Peace Meeting

Xynathius’s POV

We were heading to the East Continent for a meeting with Witch Queen Mera and the vampire lord called Byron. Alliances would be formed or it could end in disaster, a war would ensue if no verdict was reached.

Adiyan accompanied us while his grandmother stayed behind, just in case vampires decided to do something outrageous again.

The hardest part was leaving Minerva behind. With Karica gone, she didn't want me to be out of her sight. She played with Adiyan and had quickly become attached to him but he was also going with us.

“Don’t worry, Melsine and I will keep her safe,” Mom patted my shoulder as I watched the tiny figure of my sleeping bundle of joy.

“Call me, in case she gets too cranky. I will try to wrap it up and return as soon as I can,” I told Mom and bent down to kiss my daughter’s head. My heart bled at the prospect of leaving her behind.

“Take care, son. I hope you succeed and return with our Luna.”
