Meet him sneakily

The next morning Vivian wasn't served breakfast in her room as usual, but the maids instead told her Sebastian had ordered for her to be brought to the dining room. Left with no other choice she had to follow his orders.

Vivian found herself realizing how large the mansion was everytime she stepped out of the room. She was led by the maids to the spacious dining room after descending the stairs. There was a long table that could serve about twenty people or more, Sebastian was seated leisurely at the dining table, he was dressed quite casually from normal wearing a simple black shirt revealing the taut muscles of his arms that were covered in tattoos.

He glanced up hearing her approaching and gestured for her to take a seat across from him, he called for the maids to serve breakfast afterwards and without a word they both began having their meals.

"After breakfast, come with me to a place." He said not looking up from his dish.

"Where?" She'd already asked the question before realizing she was in no place to question him, "Never mind, it doesn't matter, I'll have to listen to everything you say anyway." She immediately corrected her mistake even before he answered.

Sebastian swallowed the reply at the tip of his tongue after hearing her words, an annoyed look surfaced on his face but this time he didn't lash out and merely kept his fork losing interest in the food.

It wasn't long after she also dropped her fork and wiped her mouth.

"Why did you eat so little?" Sebastian asked with a frown on his face as he noticed she'd barely eaten enough.

"Am full," Vivian plainly stated. The truth was she was never full, it had been weeks since she last saw Brian, she'd missed him so terribly even if she felt that she wasn't worthy of being with him anymore, she couldn't stop herself from thinking about him, for the past few days the amount of food she'd eat had reduced drastically, but she still had to eat enough to keep her alive so that she wouldn't fall sick or anything to implicate Brian.

Sebastian didn't comment further and only got out of his chair, "Come with me," he walked out of the room and she followed.

Standing at the open grassy field behind the mansion Vivian was a bit confused about why Sebastian brought her there, he took a drag his cigarette quietly blowing out the smoke without another word to her, after the cigarette almost burned out he tossed it on the floor and stumped it with his foot then made a hand gesture and a man in a blue shirt and black slacks came running over.

"You are to come here every morning for training," Sebastian said to Vivian.

"Boss, what do you mean by that?" Albert asked feeling a premonition that he was going to be assigned a task he wouldn't like.

"Was I talking to you?" Sebastian gave him a side glance that shut him up.

He glanced back to Vivian, "Starting today he will be training you every morning, do you understand?"

"Training for what?" She asked bewildered.

"Basic self defense moves, and after that I do not want a repeat of what happened yesterday because I assure you if it does, you won't like the outcome, remember, if anything were to happen to you, he won't live to see the next sunrise, and if you want to survive, you have to learn to protect yourself, am I clear?"

Vivian knew the 'he' Sebastian had referred to was Brian. Sebastian had obviously been displeased with what happened yesterday and how Davina had almost shot Vivian, plus with the wager of her life on the line he wanted her to learn how to defend herself even from the most basic opponents.

Vivian normally wasn't the type of girl who would want to put herself through some sort of rigorous training to learn fighting moves, but she had recently made herself believe that she had no freedom to choose whatever she wanted and would have to listen to him no matter how outrageous his demands were.

"Alright." Vivian agreed. She was a type of girl who loved with all her heart, and for Brian she could even give her life.

"But boss..." Albert wanted to complain but was shut up with a glare.

Sebastian pulled him away from Vivian and sternly warned him, "Make sure she doesn't get hurt, otherwise..." Sebastian didn't need to complete his threats, he left Vivian with Albert and walked away to go handle his matters.

Albert swallowed hardly, this was exactly what he was afraid of, the boss leaving the safety of his woman in his hands, Albert was certain he'd have to answer for it if she so much as sustained a tiny injury.

Vivian paced back and forth inside her room with a restless expression on her face that couldn't compare to the one in her heart, she was feeling anxious, after her training with Albert in the morning where he'd only had her do a few warm ups then instructed her on basic self defense moves, Vivian had started feeling restless, she wanted to see Brian.

She knew that he would be worried sick about her and the police wouldn't be able to do anything to help because they wouldn't dare to mess with Sebastian King, she just wanted at least a glimpse of him, to let him know that she was alright, to tell him that... She was setting him free even if that would hurt her more than anything.

Vivian thought of asking Sebastian to let her see him but the possibility of him agreeing to that was extremely low, plus she wasn't courageous enough to take that chance of asking him and risking him guarding her tightly.

After pondering for what seemed like hours an idea suddenly flashed in her head, she hurriedly grabbed the calendar at the bedside table muttering a few things to herself, her face brightened up as an idea came upon her like a lightening bolt.

Later that evening she requested to the maids that she'd like to have dinner with Sebastian, the maid was quick to return after informing Sebastian that he would be at the dining by seven.

At the table.

Vivian awkwardly glanced at Sebastian trying to find how she could speak to him. She'd decided to resign to her fate and learn to live the life chosen for her as all her life she'd had to deal with so many hardships.

From her childhood after her family died she was sent to different foster homes since she didn't have any surviving relatives, when her foster parents had abused her and tried to force her to hand all the assets her parents left for her it had been Brian who was her childhood friend who came as a ray of light for her dark life to pull her out of the miserable life, he'd helped her report their abuse and even convinced his aunt to foster her until she turned eighteen and got an apartment for herself.

With Brian's arrival into her life she thought that all the darkness in her life could be covered and she would finally have a beautiful life with him away from the darkness of her childhood. But when Sebastian had plunged in, she realized that her time with Brian had only been a candy offered to her before bitterness would overtake, she had no choice but to accept what fate has in store for her from here on out, so she would live... But she would only live to see Brian lead a happy life, he deserved that much after everything he'd done for her.

"Uhm... Mr King, I..." Vivian had been uncertain of how to address him when he cut her off.

"Sebastian, call me Sebastian," he paused and since she didn't speak he asked expressionlessly, "What is it?"

"Uhm... I just wanted... I thought maybe I could... It's just that..." Vivian stuttered unable to get the words out.

"Speak properly, what do you want?" He asked a little impatient.

"I wanted to go shopping tomorrow... Is that alright?" Vivian managed to ask after a deep breath, seeing that he seemed to be pondering her request silently she added, "It'll just be for a short while. Actually I don't have much clothes here, I thought that I could pick out some things I like myself, the clothes am given aren't really... Aren't really to my taste."

He glanced up at her, "You want to go shopping?" His tone sounded a bit doubtful.

Vivian nodded unable to speak as his stare had already started to frighten her, but he didn't look away, his gaze searched hers as if looking for something, after a short while he spoke up.

"Alright." He suddenly agreed.

Vivian let out a breath of relief as joy bubbled up in her heart,

'Am going to see him again tomorrow.' she thought oblivious to the fact that a small smile had appeared on her lips as she thought about seeing Brian again, and Sebastian had caught sight of that rare small smile.

"I'll take you, just to be safe." He suddenly added.

"What?" She asked breaking from her daze.

"I'll come with you tomorrow, I don't have too much work to do anyway, it wouldn't be safe to let you go alone." He stated.

Vivian wanted to refuse but bit it back so as not to risk being suspicious, regardless if he'd go with her or not, she'd still see Brian tomorrow.

The next morning, Vivian woke up early and left for the field to train with Albert, her full fledged plan already well thought out in her mind.

Her first target for the day was Albert's cell phone, while he was busy teaching her perfect self defense moves Vivian kept her eyes on his left pocket that showed a small budge indicating his phone in his pocket.

She deliberately made it seem as if she didn't understand the move he just taught her and when he tried to teach it to her again, she quickly slipped his phone out if his pocket without his notice and hid it inside her body, swiping things was a small bad habit she'd learned in high school, she'd long stopped that habit but it proved useful now. She pretended to need the restroom and excused herself.

When she was inside the restroom, Vivian quickly pulled out the phone and rapidly typed a text to Brian's number that she had memorized in her mind.

'Meet me at the city mall today, by the Chanel store, 2pm, vivian.' she sent the text and quickly deleted the records of it, after she was done she went back to the field, in another move she placed his phone back into his pocket and he had no idea it had been missing at all. Or so she thought.
