Chapter 70 - Still His Legal Wife

Luke and Colton's eyes met. They couldn't believe the words that proceeded from the lips of Tyler.

"Brother!" Jade hugged Colton's neck and unhugged him after a few seconds to check if he was unharmed.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Colton asked when Jade rounded him.

"Did they hurt you?" Jade still asked despite seeing him looking fine.

"They didn't," Colton answered her. It was then that she broke into tears.

Tyler witnessed how much she cared for her brother. He didn't make the wrong decision to use her affection for Colton as leverage to get her back.

Call him selfish but she was the one thing he couldn’t recover from, and knowing that made him feel fearful and furious and caged. The feelings catalyzed into one impetus: He would not be kept apart from her.

"Jadey, tell me. What did you do to make him drop the charge against me?" Colton was wary, there was no such a thing as free lunch. Tyler asked something in exchange for his freedom.
