~ Five years later ~


After these days, sitting around a fire is depressing. I watched the flames flowing into the sky and fade into the clouds. The black flakes float down, making the air smell like wood. I did not realize how much I was starting until someone came and sat by me. “Here you go, mother.” A little voice said as I glanced up. My frown turned into a smile as I didn't want him to see me like this.


“Thank you, Julian.” I took the plate from his hand. As I was eating, Julian looked at the flames like he never saw them before. He was amazed how wood could do that. I giggled at my son’s actions; he was like his father. Always so curious about things. Ugh, Anisel, my love— I hope everything is okay. I hope you are still alive. The others and I have been looking for a place to call home. As for now, we are heading towards Havin.


I ended up having Julian in the woods, and somehow, he was a healthy baby boy. Bright like you and active. But doesn't know his true nature
