"This doesn't look like church venue."

"Maybe they chose an event hall for a reason." I dismissed his suspicions and got out of the car without waiting for him to open the door for me.

I turned back and saw him still seated. "Get back in," he said with a slight head tilt.

"Why?" I looked around, wondering if there was anything suspicious going within the vicinity.

Reluctantly, I slid in and faced him, asking with my expressions what he wanted to say.
