I returned to my desk after I had taken the files and Charles didn't suspect a thing. This torture was almost over.

After work ended, Charles informed me of all he knew about Liam's murder which wasn't much because according to him, the people who dropped the box in front of my apartment had not been identified but he had people scope the entire building and found no threats.

I made the decision to go back to my apartment and I told Charles about it on our way home. He tensed once I mentioned it but he covered it up with a smile.

I had to leave so I could easily go to Royal's apartment and give him the designs which I would transfer to a flash drive then get rid of all evidence from my phone.

I was also uncomfortable being around Charles all day while I was about to do something so terrible to him and I hoped a little distance would make me stop thinking about confessing everything to him.
