Chapter 57 - Undertaking
The moon shines upon us, it’s like a silver boat dangling into the midst of darkness, surrounded by twinkling stones that don’t even outshine it.
Tilting my head, I tried to reach for it. I tried to hold it in the palm of my hands but I just can’t. Not when I know that it was bleeding, that even when it’s shining, it’s exploiting the darkness of love.
“ You’re just wasting your time,” I heard a voice say behind me. He was stoic in expression and I doubt if I’ll ever feel his warmth again.
It was like the past events. We are again, in the middle of nowhere and he’s beside me, guarding me. The only difference was that before, he was protecting me but right now, he’s going to kill me if I didn’t do what Selene did.
