Episode 28

Henry's POV

All my life I had always wanted a family. Not just any family, but one filled with joy, laughter and peace of mind. I could remember decades ago, the man in our lives was as good as not having any at all. We would starve, we would be beaten into bloody pulp… There's just so much damage done to me and my siblings, both physically and emotionally.

As a young first child, I was strictly taught not to do anything for myself until I was done with my sisters. Eight of them. A lot of digits, right? But sadly, that number didn't remain there. We were gradually reduced. And every fifth month of every year, as if a demon entered my father, he would drag one of my sisters out and mercilessly vest them.

"Please don't hurt them anymore, Richard. Please hit me instead!" Those were my mother's painful voice coated with hot tears gushing out from her bleeding heart.

"Yours will come for sure, but not right now." His eyes were wild, and there wasn't a smoothness on his forehead.
