CHAPTER SIXTY-THREE: Between Them

After a few seconds, I took a deep breath, drawing the courage to speak. "U-uhh, Heaven. If you don't mind, I think I should go home now. Thank you for inviting me here..." I managed to say, diverting the conversation.

"You're welcome. Sure. Sorry if I've inconvenienced you..." he replied, briefly scratching his head and sighing.

"It's okay..." I replied, keeping my words brief, with a slight smile on my lips.

Speaking of--I suddenly remembered the time and the fact that I have to travel home alone. It's already ten PM at night, and there are still several hours of travel ahead of me.

As I took steps toward my parked vehicle in the garage, he accompanied me there. And there, I bid him farewell once again and expressed my gratitude before getting into the car.
