Chapter 39

"Gentlemen." I turn around on the very same bar stool I sat on when I laid my eyes on Madelaine for the first time. At least the bar had some type of upgrade since then. The old stinky furniture with their vintage smell and worn down appearance has been replace with clean marble tiles and very modern looking black and shiny bar furniture, but some things didn't change... Like the bar stools, some crappy bar decorations and a young girl behind the bar that appears scared and very cooperative.

"I have a business preposal..." He starts and I immediately rise to my feet. I am not doing any business with him and I have made it clear already that we are done. No more free transport for his loads and no more payments to keep him out of my business. We have established that much already.

"Come on Benvenuto, here me out." He pleads. "Let's start afresh and treat each other with mutual respect."

"You have five minutes." I declare taking in the seat again and sliding my empty glass towar
