I flick the light switch on when I enter the lonely and empty kitchen, but quickly filling it with tension and worry. Adding my brother to the mix as he follows me inside. My arm is drenched with a blood from where the knife met my skin and apparently my visible pain. "Just sit down for a moment and calm down, brother. Your ribs are obviously killing you when you move too much and, pacing up and down isn't helping you or her." Achille tries to force me to relax, I guess, but how was I suppose to when my mind is consumed by concern for Mia.

"I can't just sit here, Achille! She could be seriously hurt. I need to know she's okay." I continue to walk up and down the length of the kitchen.

"Ben, listen to me." He grab me by my shoulders making me twitch as the pain stab through my arm, but he doesn't withdraw his touch. "I know, but you are injured too and you need to take a breath. Worrying like this won't help either of you. Let the doctor check Mia first, then we'll know the extent of he
