Three years

The happiness that the Morin family felt only lasted three years. When Alvin was 7 years old.  That day there was a man named Aaron Davis who claimed that Alvin was his son who had been abandoned by his wife in an orphanage.  The man had searched for Alvin all over America for the past year until he learned that his son was now being cared for by the Morin family.

"He's not my dad!" Alvin shouted loudly at that time. The boy refuses Aaron Davis's wish to take him away after DNA test results prove that the two are very compatible and the Morin family is willing to let Alvin go as long as his son is persuaded to leave.
