Chapter 19: Wanting Answers

The girl was really making this harder than it had to be.

"You look comfortable in that chair. Must be why you're refusing to talk."

I held her in the chair with silver shackles. Otherwise, she looked pretty comfortable in the chair. She glared at me, her screams and complaints muffled by the duct tape over her mouth.

I'd attached a charmed bracelet over her wrist, making sure she couldn't use her wolf's strength.

She wasn't being… cooperative. She had only one reply, to every single question I'd asked, 'I don't know'. But if she didn't know, why did that shuttered expression come over her face whenever I asked the questions? Why did I hear her breath quicken and her heartbeat speed up?
