Forty Eight

“You have to get dressed now child” she said smiling at me.

I had my focus back on the large-sized mirror by the side of my closet as I had my dress worn.

As I stood there staring at my reflection, I sort of felt nervous knowing I had more to worry about than sitting over a table surrounded by men I felt would turn me over soon.

“And we are ready!” Ms. Elsa said as she had my hair rolled into a bun.

I smiled to her as I couldn't take my eyes off the pretty dress Ms. Elsa had arranged.

“Have fun dear” she said as I stepped out of my chambers walking down the stairs.

“Isn't it meant to be just lunch?” I asked myself as I took more steps forward heading to the dining room.

I turned sideways hoping to find anyone walking over to the dining room as well, but instead I found no one.

I sure hope this isn't one of those silly tricks of their pack ritual.

On getting to the dining room, I took a deep breath holding on to the doorknob.
