"Can you at least let me go? Now that you have successfully taken me out of the dungeon?" Lillith said as she tried to pull her hand off him.

They were standing at the base of the steps and he released her before glaring down at her. "I told you I was going to take care of her."

"I want to do it myself. The whole time, I've been taking care of things. Why don't you let me fucking continue?"

"Because I am in charge now. I want to be in charge. Henry is sick and we need to focus on him!" His voice softened and he touched her face. "I understand how angry you are. So am I. I know you want her to pay for everything she has done but trust me, I will make sure she does. We just need to focus on our son first. He's sick and that's all that matters."

Tears spilled out of Lillith's eyes. She couldn't even control herself this time. She cried her heart out. Leon pulled her into him and she tried to pull away but his hold around her was strong.
