Chapter 14

Bella grilled me so long and so hard, I almost cried so I ran back to my room. Who did I meet standing right at my door, about to knock?

“What are you doing?” I asked, wearily.

“We need to talk,” Xander said like he was about to break up with me.

I’d succeeded in avoiding him for most of the holiday so I didn’t set eyes on him. Seeing him now, his dark hair a little longer, made my insides tremble. His face was lethal, honestly. If I didn’t know for certain that he spelt doom for me, I would not mind indulging in him.

‘What the hell are you thinking!?’ Grace yelled at me.

‘What?’ I thought. ‘Is it wrong to acknowledge a fine looking man?’

‘If that fine man can lead you to hell then yesss!’ She screamed so loudly that I regained my senses. Yes, hot or not, this man was dangerous and bad for me.

“We don’t need to talk,” I cleared my throat. “Go away.” I tried to brush past him but he was standing right in front of my door. “Honestly, what do you want? We’ve said all there is to say so
